Woodlands Area
Project Partners: Waveney District Council, Friends of Gunton Community Park, Green Light Trust, Suffolk Constabulary, Suffolk Wildlife Trust.
Project Funders: Heritage Lottery Fund, Waveney District Council, local area forum funding.
The plan is to develop a new woodland and conservation area for the community to enjoy for generations to come.
Local schools are already involved and will be part of the planting of trees and plants, which is due to take place in Oct / Nov. Local Historian Ian Robb will be producing a community history information leaflet to inform local people and visitors of the heritage of the Gunton area.
